This technology is based on modifying the impedance of a normalized slit immersed in an electrolyte and passed through a constant current generated by two electrodes placed on either side of the gap. A vacuum medium is created on one side of the slit that allows the cells to pass through. The physical volume of these cells is inversely proportional to the current flowing through it. An electrical pulse is recorded at the output of the electrode. The height of this electric pulse corresponds to the volume of the cell
